Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using chhath.psots.in (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these terms.

This Site is run by the PSOTS Chhath Puja on a voluntary, non-commercial basis for residents of Prestige Song of the South (PSOTS), Bengaluru. Its technology, hosting, and messaging (including the WhatsApp helpline) are operated on the committee's behalf by The Kishores, acting strictly as a service provider to the committee at no profit.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this Site, you confirm that you are a resident or authorised member/guest of Prestige Song of the South, Bengaluru, and you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site.

2. Nature of the Site

This Site is a community platform for organising and managing the annual Chhath Puja festival at PSOTS. It is:

• Non-commercial — no profit is made by operating this Site, including by its technical operator.
• Community-funded — all contributions collected go directly towards Chhath Puja 2026 expenses.
• Voluntarily run by elected committee members of the resident community, with the Site's technology operated on their behalf by The Kishores (see Section 1 above).

3. Contributions & Payments

3.1 Voluntary Contributions

All monetary contributions made through this Site are voluntary donations towards the Chhath Puja 2026 celebration. They are not fees, subscriptions, or commercial transactions.

3.2 Payment Partner

Online payments initiated through this Site are processed on the secure payment platform provided by TicVento, our Payment Partner. When you choose to pay, you may be redirected from chhath.psots.in to TicVento's hosted checkout.

Payment details such as card numbers, CVV, UPI credentials or banking authentication information are not collected or stored by PSOTS. TicVento is responsible for its hosted payment environment and is governed by its own Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which apply to its hosted checkout. TicVento is a payment technology partner; it is not an organiser of PSOTS Chhath Puja.

PSOTS remains responsible for community contribution records, the official PSOTS receipt, refund decisions by the committee, and resident support. All contributions are collected in Indian Rupees (INR).

3.3 Payment Confirmation

A contribution is recorded as paid only after PSOTS receives and reconciles a valid payment confirmation through the TicVento integration. A browser redirect alone does not constitute payment confirmation. If your bank or payment app shows a debit but your contribution is shown as processing, please do not pay again — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Once a payment is confirmed, PSOTS issues an official contribution receipt and sends it to the contact details you provided.

3.4 Contribution Records

By contributing online, you agree that your name is shown on the public contributors list. This applies to every online contribution and there is no option to hide it. Your mobile number and email address are never shown publicly.

Anonymous online payment is not supported. To reconcile your payment and send your official receipt, online contributions require your real name, flat number, mobile number and email address.

5. User Accounts

5.1 Account Creation

You may create an account using Google OAuth or an Email OTP. Account creation is optional but enables features like pre-filled payment forms and contribution history.

5.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree not to share your login credentials with others.

5.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate information including your name, flat number, and mobile number. False information may result in your contribution not being recorded or reconciled correctly.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Submit false contribution claims or fraudulent payment information.
• Attempt to access admin or committee-only sections without authorisation.
• Use the Site in any way that disrupts its operation for other users.
• Use the Site for any commercial or promotional purpose.
• Submit inappropriate or offensive content in any form fields.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

This Site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The committee does not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security issues. We make every reasonable effort to ensure availability and accuracy but cannot guarantee it.

8. Limitation of Liability

The PSOTS Chhath Puja shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Use or inability to use this Site.
• Errors or delays in payment processing by the Payment Partner or other third-party payment providers.
• Unauthorised access to your account.
• Any technical failures or data loss.

9. Privacy

Your use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
